Winter Wonderland 12/25/2010
Happy Holidays! We here at Exit 82 would like to wish you a happy and healthy holiday this season. Our Exit 82 family is very excited to spend the holiday season together this year planning our upcoming events. Next week is our winter benefit show, LEGATO. We've put together a great cast of performers (some you've seen on the stage with Exit 82 in the past and some fresh faces as well!) and Carol Lombardi (resident musical director) is accompanying them. It should be a lot of fun. The info is on our events page - please come and spend the evening with us if you are avaialble. Admission is free, and we'll be serving coffee and tea with desserts while we serenade you with some of our Broadway favorites. We are also getting together to talk about our Summer 2011 musical this week - so we'll be crazy with meetings (and Greg's incessant arguing) and we will let you know what happens with that. We'll be posting updates throughout the winter season and through the new year as we get closer to next summer's big production. Happy Holidays! What a season! The EXIT 82 family is very proud of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and we are excited to move forward into the upcoming season. For the winter, we have a few fundraisers and projects in the works... so stay tuned for announcements! We have also begun plans for our Summer 2011 Season! Have a suggestion? Leave us a comment! Hello Exit 82 fans! THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE opened last night to a packed house at TR High School North. It was such a success! There are only four performances left - so make sure you get your tickets! Check out the productions page for photos from the dress rehearsal! We hope to see you at our show this weekend! -Greg and the Exit 82 Family We are almost at the half way mark of the rehearsal process and making progress! Rehearsals have been a lot of fun with an outstanding cast who seemed to click instantly! Our production staff is also really hands on and willing to 'play' with scenes and choreography to make the rehearsal process as creative and fun as it can be. In other news, we found a stray black cat at rehearsal today... it's only an old art project made out of a shoe box to resemble a cat... but nevertheless, we took him under our wing. So, we are proud to announce the mascot of EXIT 82 is now this black cat =) Enjoy the pictures below! I am very excited to announce the cast for Thoroughly Modern Millie this summer! (it is on the audition info page if you haven't already seen) I must admit, casting this show was rough. There were a lot of really talented people who didn't make the cut this year, and I hope everyone will come out and audition for us again in the future. Auditions are only 6 days away, and we here at Exit 82 are getting everything ready! Want to be a part of the cast for Thoroughly Modern Millie this summer? Audition for us! Check out the auditions page for all of the info. Billy showed us the audition dance (which looks great) - it is jazz by the way, so you won't need your tap shoes for auditions. I just saw the first costume sketches from Jamie Torres and Katerina Kriticos and they look fantastic! Millie's dresses are just awesome. Auditions are less than one week away - so start preparing your 16 bars! We'll post the cast list on our website on Wednesday of next week, with rehearsals starting on Thursday. Whoopie baby, here comes Thoroughly Modern Millie now!!! We are super duper mucho excited about announcing our Summer 2010 Season of "Thoroughly Modern Millie." We have just updated the website (as well as facebook statuses) with a synopsis of the show and new production staff applications.
